White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby led a joint press briefing on Monday ahead of the Supreme Court’s hearing regarding the abortion pill mifepristone.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments regarding the case on Tuesday, but abortion access is a major focus of the Biden administration in the 2024 elections. The case focuses on a group of doctors who oppose chemical abortions and are suing to reverse the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the pill in 2000.
