Apple unveiled the latest version of its iPad on Tuesday, which will include the company’s new M4 chip for improved performance.

The iPad Pro aims to make use of the growing field of artificial intelligence, which is in part due to the new M4 chip used in its build. There will be two different models available from this iPad, one being 11 inches and another 13 inches, and both will only be 5.1 millimeters thick.

“With the breakthrough Ultra Retina XDR display, the next-level performance of M4, incredible AI capabilities, and support for the all-new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard, there’s no device like the new iPad Pro,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering.

The technology company also unveiled its new Magic Keyboard, which will be compatible with these new iPad models and connect to them magnetically. The 11-inch model will start at a price of $999, while the slightly larger model will start at $1,299.

Apple unveiling its newest iPad comes a few months after it announced that it was scrapping plans to enter the electric vehicle market. The company had almost 2,000 employees working on a project called Project Titan, which started in 2014.

Following the cancellation of Project Titan, Apple announced in April that it would fire 614 employees in California. Employees were given notice of their firing on March 28 and will be let go from their jobs on May 27.
