Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk announced that she will meet privately with podcaster Candace Owens, as the two have feuded over conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk‘s assassination.
“Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person discussion on Monday, December 15,” Kirk posted on X Sunday. “[Candace Owens] and I have agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets are on hold until after this meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation. Thank you.”
Owens responded to the post, saying, “I am very much looking forward to this discussion.”
The meeting comes in place of a livestream from Turning Point that planned to have hosts go through Owens’s theories about the Kirk assassination.
Owens’s claims about the killing of Kirk have ranged from suggesting the suspect in custody, Tyler Robinson, was not the shooter, to speculating that either Zionists or the French government was involved.
But Owens has recently been turning her attention to Erika Kirk, pushing claims of financial fraud at Turning Point, the conservative organization Erika now runs after her husband’s death.
ERIKA KIRK SENDS MESSAGE TO CONSPIRACY THEORISTS: ‘STOP’
Erika Kirk responded to those claims, and the unfounded theories promoted by figures like Owens, in a Fox News appearance last week, expressing “righteous anger.”
“This is not OK. This is a duty to my husband. And it’s an absolute honor. And I will never back down. And so my message to them is to stop, to stop,” she said.
