The National Republican Congressional Committee is selling a “F*** Hamas” T-shirt, starting Wednesday.
“We got tired of saying it, so we slapped it on a T-shirt,” NRCC national press secretary Will Reinert said to the Washington Examiner.
The limited-quantity shirt is raising money for the NRCC, a political committee that works to raise funds and help elect Republicans to the House. This year is a key election year for Congress and the White House.
The T-shirt fundraiser comes as Ivy League campuses have been overrun by student protesters demonstrating about the Israel-Hamas war.
“Hezbollah flags. ISIS headbands. Hamas signs. Scenes from the streets of Tehran? Nope. It’s Columbia University,” an NRCC fundraising letter said.
The letter promoting the “free shirt” continued, “We refuse to be overrun by pro-terrorist sympathizers. Claim your ‘F*** Hamas’ T-shirt NOW.”
The T-shirt is black with bold white letters and an American flag between the letters “F” and “K.”
“F#% HAMAS. Enough said. Chip in $35 and received this FREE F#%K HAMAS T-SHIRT while supplies last,” the website for the NRCC’s T-shirt fundraiser said.
A congressional delegation of Republican House members visited Columbia University on Wednesday afternoon to meet with Jewish students as a wave of pro-Palestinian protests have taken over the campus. Columbia President Minouche Shafik testified last week before a House committee and has received demands to resign, including from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
The student demonstrators attempted to drown out the members of Congress as they spoke to the media about what they saw on the campus and how there would be accountability.
“Mike, you suck!” the Columbia University students chanted, referencing the House speaker in an attempt to disrupt the press conference.
On the Democratic side of Congress, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) praised pro-Palestinian student activists at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday for their protests.
“I am incredibly moved by your courage and bravery as a student body in putting your bodies on the line to stand in solidarity to end the genocide that is taking place in Gaza,” she cheered on the crowd and the growing nationwide movement.

During an Earth Day event on Monday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) praised the student-led protests across college campuses as “peaceful” despite Columbia University shutting down in-person classes due to concerns for the safety of Jewish students.
“Kill all Zionists! Long live Hamas,” Columbia student protesters were heard chanting this week.
