Actor Alec Baldwin lowered the sale price of his Long Island home by about $10 million around the same time he was indicted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

The house has been listed for $18,995,000 after sitting on the market since at least December 2022. In the beginning, it was listed for $29 million, then lowered to $25 million before new listings popped up across websites with the new price. The latest change came just days before a grand jury indicted Baldwin of involuntary manslaughter in the on-set shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

In addition to the new listings, Baldwin appeared in an advertisement for his house in a video posted to YouTube. He describes the property to potential buyers as “so peaceful” and “so beautiful” in the wintertime.

Baldwin is a lifetime resident of the area but bought this particular home nearly 30 years ago. Since purchasing it, Baldwin added extensions to the eastern and western portions of the house, increasing the square footage to over 10,000 square feet without infringing on the plot, which still includes five acres.

Baldwin was involved in the shooting of Hutchins in October 2021, which resulted in her death while filming the movie Rust in New Mexico. According to a statement from District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies’ office, involuntary manslaughter is punishable by up to 18 months in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Baldwin has already paid an undisclosed settlement to Hutchins’s family. He is also facing a lawsuit from Rust script supervisor Mamie Mitchell in which he has filed a cross-complaint against the other defendants in an attempt to abdicate fault for the civil complaint.
