The successful 2024 effort to thwart the election of liberal, soft-on-crime prosecutors funded by Democratic megadonor George Soros is getting a new face and promise of a wider target for the next series of elections.

On Tuesday, after Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares led the Protecting Americans Action Fund in a national effort to promote and elect conservative district attorneys in counties around the nation, Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin will succeed him as chairman with a goal of raising more money to defeat Soros.

“We have the option of getting solid conservatives elected and we have the ability to defeat Soros prosecutors, progressive prosecutors. This is an easy and good fit for me, and I’m excited about what we can do,” Griffin told Secrets.

In its initial efforts, the group scored victories in 60% of the elections it entered as Miyares poured money into campaigns for anti-crime prosecutors battling Soros-funded candidates eager to push parole over jail.

“After watching George and Alex Soros’s network spend millions to elect liberal prosecutors, we launched Protecting Americans Action Fund to elect conservative prosecutors who will stand with victims and law enforcement officials. Three years later, we have built an invaluable organization where we have won over 60% of the prosecutor races that we got involved with,” Miyares said. “Now it’s time to pass the torch to Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, who will build on this success and continue the organization’s guiding principle of electing conservative prosecutors who will enforce our laws.”

Among his initial goals, said Griffin, will be building on what Miyares accomplished by raising more money and electing additional conservative prosecutors around the country.

“We’re going to keep moving up, we’re going to be very aggressive, very aggressive,” said Griffin, the former lieutenant governor of Arkansas, a former House member, and one-time top aide to former President George W. Bush.

In Arkansas, Griffin has proven to be a consistent conservative promoting pro-victim policies, notably the recently signed Protect Arkansas Act, which reduced parole eligibility.

Griffin told Secrets that he has seen the battle over pro-parole prosecutors up close in his home of Little Rock. When he ran statewide in 2022, Griffin said that the local Pulaski County prosecutor race was between a conservative and a liberal who received some $300,000 in contributions for Soros-linked groups.

For him, it was personal and professional, explaining, “This is the prosecutor that I have to work with, the winner of this race is the one I have to work with most closely each and every day, because he’s physically the one in the capital city.”

Griffin lent a hand, joining the efforts of Miyares and his Protecting Americans Action Fund, and the conservative, Will Jones, won.

“When I was asked to take over as the chair, I mean, it’s a perfect fit. It’s a fight that I lived here, personally, in the city world where I live and raise my kids, where crime was not just an issue on a list of issues, where it’s like a real thing that impacts my family. And I truly believe, without any hesitation, I can say that had the Soros choice for prosecutor been elected here, we would not be safer. We would and I would not have a partner as attorney general in the same city,” Griffin said.

In addition to fundraising, Griffin plans to build on communicating about the safety concerns electing liberal prosecutors can prompt.

“You have to draw a straight causation line between electing the wrong prosecutor and getting the wrong policies and the wrong results for your community,” he said.

“You want more petty crime, which leads to other crimes, more serious crime, elect this person. You’ll get these policies. These policies will produce these releases. These releases will give you that lower quality of life,” he said in laying out an election theme. “Elect this guy, you will get more bad people, more violent people, locked up. You will have less violence in the streets. You will have a more peaceful life in your community,” he said.

“That’s why I think they’ve been so effective. Jason’s done an extraordinary job with this. The key here is continuity, just continue to do what they’ve been doing. Just raise the money and communicate the message. The message is a sound one that people respond to. We just have to make sure that we’re raising enough money to communicate on television, social media, radio, etc.,” Griffin said.
