Right-wing media personality Nick Fuentes says a triple-murder suspect tried to kill him at his Chicago-area home, a claim that appears to be backed up by video and police details.
Fuentes posted a thread on Thursday describing alleged events that occurred the night before.
“Last night an armed killer made an attempt on my life at my home, which was recently doxed on this platform,” he posted on X. “The gunman carried a pistol, crossbow, and incendiary devices. I believe he intended to kill me. He is now dead. I am okay!”
He also shared Ring camera video footage showing a man wearing a motorcycle helmet armed with a gun and a crossbow. The man is heard calling out “Yo, Nick” in the footage. The right-wing influencer said he was livestreaming at the time that the man knocked on his door.
Fuentes lives in Berwyn, a suburb of Chicago. The Berwyn Police Department released a statement saying that police responded to the same area around his home “for a report of a male subject with a gun.”
The report says the suspect fled on foot and escaped the officers, forcefully entering a different home and killing two dogs before officers found him. The suspect then shot at officers, and they returned fire, killing him, police said. No officers were injured.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old John Lyons, was wanted for a triple homicide in Mahomet, Illinois, earlier in the day. The report added that the “incident has been turned over to the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Task Force and is considered an active and ongoing investigation.”

Fuentes said that as a result of the gunman’s appearance at his door, he must “uproot” his life and relocate but in the meantime is hiring “24 hour security to protect myself and my property.” He then asked for donations to help cover the cost.
Fuentes has been under more intense public scrutiny than usual after he posted “my body, my choice,” in an attempt to mock the abortion-rights rights slogan. He is also facing charges after he pepper-sprayed a woman who showed up at his home.
