Rev. Franklin Graham, an evangelist leader who has grown closer to President Donald Trump, launched a veiled criticism at former President Joe Biden while giving delivering a prayer Monday.
“Mr. President, in the last four years, there are times I’m sure you thought it was pretty dark,” Graham said. “But look what God has done. We praise him and give him glory.”
The president of Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian humanitarian organization, has butted heads with the Biden administration in the past. Graham expressed his disappointment with Biden declaring “Transgender Day of Visibility” on the same day as Easter Sunday in 2024.
“This once again shows how little respect President Biden and his administration have for God,” Graham posted on X. “On the most significant day of the Christian calendar, when the Church around the world celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ who died and shed His blood for the sins of mankind, the Biden administration uses this opportunity to flaunt sin, to glorify sin, and to celebrate sin.”

Since Trump’s first administration, Graham has shown his support, calling Trump, who has been divorced twice and who paid porn star Stormy Daniels to allegedly conceal an affair, a “changed man” in November 2018.
“I never said he was the best example of the Christian faith,” Graham said at the time. “He defends the faith. And I appreciate that very much.”
