Melania Trump joined her husband on the campaign trail for the first time in the 2024 election cycle, teasing a greater role in the months to come.
The former first lady appeared alongside her husband, former President Donald Trump, at a Florida primary voting location, where her husband is the only notable Republican candidate remaining. When asked if she would be returning to the campaign trail, she hinted at a more prominent role in the future.
“Stay tuned,” she responded, prompting a smile from her husband.
In a January interview, Donald Trump said he was hesitant to involve his family too heavily in his campaign due to the treatment they received during the last election.
“At the same time, I don’t want my family to be too active because they did such a great job last time, and they were really gone after by people that were very unfair,” Donald Trump told Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade.
The former first lady drew speculation for her public absence from her husband’s side for the first year of his 2024 presidential campaign, but it was later revealed her absence was due to caring for her ailing mother, who died in January.

The former president addressed a public Valentine’s Day message to Melania Trump in a fundraising email, thanking her for her support over the years.
“Dear Melania, I LOVE YOU! Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side. You’ve always supported me through everything,” Donald Trump wrote in the letter. “I wouldn’t be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth. You will always mean the world to me, Melania!”
