Former President Donald Trump is set to make his first visit to Capitol Hill since the Jan. 6 Capitol storming. Some people aren’t happy about it.

Protesters partially blocked the entrance and streets outside of the Capitol Hill Club, an establishment described as “a national social club for Republicans,” some with anti-Trump signs. After a period, police reportedly cleared the protesters and journalists from the entrance to a location farther away, and cordoned that section off. The former president is expected to meet with House Republicans at the club.

The occurrence comes as a little surprise given Washington D.C.’s liberal makeup, and Trump’s unpopularity among Democrats.

The meeting began, and reporters started posting on social media about what was happening in the closed-door meeting. Sources told the Hill that “Trump is now talking about beating Republicans who voted to impeach him,” in the Capitol Hill Club, including former Wisconsin and South Carolina Reps. Liz Cheney and Tom Rice.

He also reportedly told Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) “to be nice” to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), to laughter in the room.
