Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) endorsed former President Donald Trump for his 2024 bid for the White House.
“Whether you like it or not, Americans face a binary choice,” said the conservative senator on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday night.
Lee told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham on Friday that he “wholeheartedly” supported the former president for the 2024 election because he has “kept promises that he’s made as he campaigned in the past.”
Lee attempted to block Trump’s nomination at the GOP convention in 2016, but he strengthened his ties with Trump during his presidency as they advocated similar legislative goals.
The Utah senator was also one of many converts to endorse Trump in 2020, and he earned a reciprocal endorsement from the former president during the 2022 midterm elections.
Lee is among 21 other Republican senators who have endorsed Trump so far, along with a number of GOP representatives in the House.

On X, Lee criticized President Joe Biden, saying he “refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces policies that make life unaffordable for hardworking Americans.”
“I’ll take the mean tweets,” Lee said. “I choose Trump.”
