Former President Donald Trump revealed new insights to popular internet personality Adin Ross about his relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

“This man I really get along with well,” Trump said in an interview when Ross showed him a picture of the North Korean leader, whom Trump frequently called “Little Rocket Man.”

“He said, ‘I have a red button on my desk.’ And I said, ‘No, I have a red button, too, and mine is bigger than yours. And mine works,’” Trump recalled of an exchange that he had with Kim.

The two leaders met in June 2018 for a historic summit in Singapore, where it was the first meeting ever between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

In February 2019, they met again in Hanoi, Vietnam, but it ended abruptly. Months later in June 2019, they met for a third time, and Trump became the first sitting U.S. president to step foot in North Korea. They continued to correspond through letters following their meetings.

Trump recounted that he once played the Elton John song “Rocket Man” for Kim because he had never heard of the song.

Trump also said President Barack Obama had told him that North Korea was the “single biggest threat.”

“One day I got a call from people who wanted to see me about him, and he wanted to meet. They did not want to meet with Obama and did not want to meet with anyone,” the Republican presidential nominee said.

Trump said he got to know the North Korean leader “very well” and “got along with him great.”

The former president called Kim “very smart” and “very strong.”

“He’s the absolute leader. When his people are around, they are standing at attention,” Trump recalled from his meetings with the Korean leader.

Trump said he thinks Kim is upset that he’s “not there” as president.

Trump retold how he encouraged the North Korean leader to optimize his “location” as a potential tourism destination.

“He’s right between, think of this, Russia and China on one side and South Korea on the other. I said, ‘You have a great piece of real estate. You could make so much and you could have gorgeous condos going up on your shore.’ He has got a lot of ocean … a lot of oceanfront,” Trump reflected on telling Kim.

“I get along with him great. We would have had no problem, but now he’s getting very angry with us,” Trump said.

The former president said the North Korean leader does not like Vice President Kamala Harris and thought President Joe Biden was “a very stupid man.”

“He would say that and I would say that, ‘So, we agree on something,’” Trump said of the North Korean leader’s thoughts on Biden.

The former president’s interview with the 23-year-old online streamer Adin Ross was a wide-ranging hourlong discussion about politics. He roasted his Democratic opponent, Harris, and the president. It also captured Trump dancing with Ross and playing music together, and the internet influencer gifted him with a Rolex and a patriotic-themed Cybertruck.
