Former President Donald Trump deleted a post that may have violated his gag order after he was threatened with jail time.

Trump, who is under a gag order and cannot talk about the witnesses or the jury in his hush money criminal trial, posted on Truth Social about Tuesday’s witness. Tuesday’s witness is believed to be adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with Trump, which he denies.

“I have just recently been told who the witness is today. This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare,” Trump said in a Tuesday morning post.

He deleted the post shortly after complaining about the short time his lawyers had to prepare. Trump has been found in contempt of court for violating his gag order 10 times.

On Monday, Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the case, warned Trump he could face jail time if he continues to violate the gag order. He also warned the former president that jailing him was not something he wanted to do.

“Mr. Trump, it’s important to understand that the last thing I want to do is to put you in jail,” Merchan said. “You are the former president of the United States and possibly the next president as well.”

“Your continued violations of this court’s lawful order threaten to interfere with the administration of justice in constant attacks which constitute a direct attack on the rule of law. I cannot allow that to continue,” Merchan continued.

Trump is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.
