Former President Donald Trump suggested he may skip the Sept. 10 presidential debate against Vice President Kamala Harris hosted by ABC News.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday night, Trump said to “Stay tuned” after he laid out the reasons why he may skip the debate, which included Harris turning down debating on other news networks and significant criticism of ABC News’s anchors.

“I watched ABC FAKE NEWS this morning, both lightweight reporter Jonathan Carl’s(K?) ridiculous and biased interview of Tom Cotton (who was fantastic!), and their so-called Panel of Trump Haters, and I ask, why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?” he said.

“Why did Harris turn down Fox, NBC, CBS, and even CNN? Stay tuned!!!” he added.

The post comes as Trump and Harris are still slated to debate on Sept. 10 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will be moderated by World News Tonight anchor David Muir and ABC News Live Prime anchor Linsey Davis.

Trump previously proposed three debates to Harris, including a Sept. 4 debate hosted by Fox News, a Sept. 10 debate hosted by ABC News, and a Sept. 25 debate hosted by NBC News. Harris agreed to the Sept. 10 debate, while proposing another one in October.

The Sept. 10 debate was a holdover from when President Joe Biden was still the Democratic nominee.

Trump pledged to do an event on Sept. 4 anyway after Harris declined the Fox News debate, which will be a “tele-town hall” with host Sean Hannity.

The Washington Examiner contacted the Trump and Harris campaigns and ABC for comment.
