President Donald Trump won the 2025 club championship at his course in Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, adding that it will “probably” be his last one.
Trump was the previous champion at the competition held by Trump International Golf Club in 2023 and 2024, with his latest win coming just under two months after his return to the White House. The president took to social media to thank his fellow “fantastic golfers” for their participation, while also declaring it “an honor” to retain the title of champion.
“I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the even [sic]. Such fun!”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed to the Washington Examiner that video of Trump at Sunday’s competition will be released in the future.
The golfing championship, along with the awards dinner, comes after the president ordered airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, as a warning to Houthi terrorists attacking U.S. ships. The White House’s X account uploaded photos of Trump monitoring the strikes, decked in his typical golf attire of a red “Make America Great Again” hat and a white polo.

At the first debate of the 2024 election cycle, Trump cited his golfing skills, as well as his golf championship victories, to defend his mental acuity and fitness to serve as president, knocking then-President Joe Biden by stating “he can’t hit a ball 50 yards.” Biden later retorted that he would be “happy” to play golf with Trump “if you carry your own bag.”
