Former President Donald Trump’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience has quickly become one of the podcast’s most popular episodes, amassing over 28 million views within its first two days of release.

The highly anticipated episode, released on Friday evening, was posted on both Spotify and on YouTube, and comes less than two weeks before the 2024 presidential election. While Spotify does not publicly specify how many views podcast episodes receive, the episode on the show’s YouTube page has already become one of the most-viewed episodes of the podcast.

Joe Rogan initially opposed having Trump on his podcast since he was “not interested in helping him,” though he has since changed his stance to allow the former president on. In a new TikTok video promoting Trump’s appearance, Rogan said the two had “a great podcast,” with the former president adding they had “a good time.”

The former president has been utilizing podcast appearances far more than other presidential candidates in the past, as the field is quickly growing in popularity with younger voters. Besides The Joe Rogan Experience, Trump has appeared on other podcasts ahead of the 2024 election, including This Past Weekend w/Theo Von, FLAGRANT, and the PBD Podcast.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Trump’s 2024 running mate, has also made a few podcasts appearances ahead of the election, including on comedian Theo Von’s podcast as well as The Tim Dillon Show. Von has stated he would be interested in interviewing both Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) on his podcast.
