Vivek Ramaswamy is showing his support for former President Donald Trump.
A spokesperson for Ramaswamy confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the former Republican presidential candidate will join the former president on Tuesday for his trial in New York City. Ramaswamy will spend the entire day with Trump, according to reports
Ramaswamy has been a vocal supporter of Trump even while vying for the Republican nomination for president. He has long criticized Trump’s alleged legal issues as shams, a comment he reiterated on Monday on a post on X, formerly Twitter.
“Here’s the best proof that the Trump trial is a sham: if DJT had done the exact *opposite* of the alleged crime, they’d still be prosecuting him & have an even stronger case,” Ramaswamy posted. “Watch & think about it.”
He also questioned the trials and accusations against Trump during an appearance on a recent podcast.
“I will say that, every day this trial proceeds, the trend that I’ve seen, I didn’t follow today, but up to today, all we’ve seen is one more layer of the onion of how the whole thing is a charade,” Ramaswamy said on the PBD Podcast.
Ramaswamy’s visit to join Trump will come after the former president had a challenging day in court.
Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, admitted during his testimony on Monday that he secretly recorded a conversation with Trump about a payment over an alleged sexual encounter between former Playboy model Karen McDougal and Trump, multiple outlets reported. The discussion centered on a supposed reimbursement for $150,000 to former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker, who allegedly paid McDougal for her story, so he could squash it.

Trump was heavily critical of Judge Juan Merchan after Monday’s session in court. He called the judge “highly conflicted” after Cohen testified about the secret recording.
“We have a corrupt judge, and we have a judge who is highly conflicted, and he’s keeping me from campaigning,” Trump commented outside the courtroom. “He’s an appointed New York judge. He’s appointed. You know who appointed him? Democrat politicians. He’s appointed. He’s a corrupt judge, and he’s a conflicted judge. And he ought to let us go out and campaign and get rid of this scam.”
