White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is holding a press briefing Friday afternoon after blasting former President Donald Trump for his association with a controversial supporter.

Jean-Pierre will take questions from reporters at 2:30 p.m. The event comes after she criticized Trump for appearing with controversial conservative internet personality Laura Loomer.

“No leader should ever associate with someone who spreads this kind of ugliness, this kind of racist poison,” Jean-Pierre said Thursday.

Loomer has been seen with Trump on several occasions and has been the subject of bipartisan criticism for multiple controversial comments and social media posts. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a prominent Trump ally, recently became embroiled in a feud with Loomer after saying her “hateful” rhetoric “doesn’t represent MAGA as a whole.”
