Television host and comedian Alex Stein accused former Bachelorette reality television star Josh Seiter of trying to pull a “gimmick” in transitioning to a transgender woman during a confrontational interview.

“I’m just telling you, this as a friend, that I know it’s a gimmick. I know you’re trolling and I love it because I do the same thing,” Stein said to Seiter. Prior to hosting on Blaze TV, Stein had appeared in numerous reality shows including The Glass House and Worst Cooks in America.

“But how long do you think you can do this for, dude? I mean, let’s just be real,” Stein insisted.

In May, Seiter, 36, told 960,000 Instagram fans about the decision to come out as transgender, noting a struggle with gender identity and “feelings of guilt and shame for as long as I can remember.”

Seiter, who uses she/her pronouns, remained silent as Stein continued to press how the transgender star could “only last so long” in allegedly pretending to transition.

“It’s not a bit for me. It may have been a bit for you, but for me, it’s how I feel,” Seiter responded.

Stein then interjected, yelling, “Josh, you’re lying! What did your parents say about this? Does your mom or dad know about this? Are you close with them?”

“I’m close with some family members, yeah,” the former Bachelorette contestant said.

Stein, the host of Prime Time with Alex Stein, disagreed with the reality star by saying that Seiter was known for being a “bodybuilding guy who likes to slam babes” and knows this is “all a gimmick” for growing his social media followers.

“You’re going super viral and I know what that’s like,” Stein said. “And what people don’t understand is that people don’t have the mindset that you and I have because we don’t care. I know me confronting you is not going to hurt your feelings.”

Stein continued to press Seiter on how the reality star’s family feels about his public gender transition.

“Your loved ones know it’s a bit,” Stein said. “I mean, why are you going to do this to them, Josh?”

Seiter responded, “I’m just living my authentic truth.”

Stein scoffed, “Oh c’mon, Josh! … Quit playing with me.”

The Blaze host continued to rip Seiter, comparing the transition to professional wrestling. Stein then paused and quipped, “I’m sorry — I’m not trying to yell at a beautiful lady like you.”

“Do you have women’s underwear on right now?” Stein asked and Seiter declined to answer the question.

“What is the endgame for this? You trying to get a podcast?” Stein asked, pressing Seiter. “You trying to get a Bud Light sponsorship? What is your goal with all of this?”

“Well, I’m just living my authentic truth. Your journey is your journey and my journey is my journey. People are allowed to think what they want about my journey. Many people are very vocal about it, but I’m just going to keep being me,” Seiter said calmly.

“You know you’re trolling right now!” Stein yelled back.

The comedian suggested that Seiter was just trying to do an “Andy Kaufman” and “be a method actor” by staying “in character.”

The Bachelorette contestant told Stein that he was “projecting what he went through” onto Seiter.

Stein called Seiter “very masculine” and Seiter said being a woman is not about how much makeup is on one’s face but how one “feels.”

“What is a woman?” Stein asked.

“I wouldn’t know. I’m not a biologist,” Seiter said.

Seiter recently shared on social media about the plan to have “bottom surgery” in 2025.

The reality star also had a rant on social media that garnered millions of views after complaining about dates “not paying for dinner.”

“I just want to vent a little bit. I feel like dates can be so cheap. The last couple of dates that I’ve gone on, I’ve expected the guy to pay because I feel like the man should pay for the first date and they just don’t want to,” Seiter complained.

The reality star was frustrated that the dates were not treating Seiter “like a woman.” The words on the video read “Transphobia led to me having to pay for the first date.”

The bio for the television star identifies Seiter as a “trans activist” along with the description “Daughter. Sister. Human Currently transitioning.”

Last year, the former Bachelorette contestant was caught up in a death hoax when a message was posted on social media proclaiming the passing of the star. Seiter later responded that the social media account had been hacked.
