Great American Media has unveiled its lineup to celebrate Easter just over a month away.

The company announced its 40 Days of Lent: A Journey of Faith and Reflection programming shortly after the start of the Lent season, which started on Ash Wednesday, March 5 this year, and lasts six weeks leading up to the annual Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of Great American Media’s most noteworthy programs this year include a livestream of “The Passion Play” along with an Easter program from the Museum of the Bible.

“Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and reflection, reminding us of the profound impact of faith in our everyday lives,” Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott said. “By embracing the traditions of faith — whether through prayer, acts of kindness, or personal reflection — we connect with the deeper meaning of the season.”

“The Passion Play” is performed live at Shepherd Church Los Angeles and will be aired by Great American Family commercial-free on Good Friday, April 18 this year, at 3:45 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the Museum of the Bible’s program is titled “The History of Easter” and will be hosted by Christian songwriter Matthew West and streamed on Great American Pure Flix.

Great American Family will also air several films related to the Christian holiday, including the premiere of Forty-Seven Days With Jesus on April 19 at 8 p.m. ET. The film stars The Chosen actors Yoshi Barrigas and Catherine Lidstone and follows a family finding hope and unity during the last 47 days of Jesus’s time on earth.

AMERICA IS EXPERIENCING A CHRISTIAN AWAKENING

Other programs Great American Media is promoting to tie into the holiday include The Blind, which tells the story of Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson coming to salvation, and Faith of Angels, which is based on the true story of a boy getting stuck in a Utah mine and his guardian angel’s goal to find him.

This month, Great American Family issued a call on social media to pressure Alphabet Inc. and YouTube to finally get its content on YouTube TV. The media company notified Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr of its repeated attempts to get its content on YouTube TV, prompting Carr to contact the CEOs of both Alphabet Inc. and YouTube for a brief of the matter.
