The Florida Republican Party announced on Wednesday it will hold a vote on endorsing former President Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary.

Trump won the New Hampshire presidential primary on Tuesday, beating former South Carolina Gov. and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley by roughly 11%, and won the Iowa caucuses by roughly 30% last week. Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power said the party should now unite behind the former president.

“The results of Iowa and New Hampshire make it clear that President Trump is the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party. Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio, and Senator Rick Scott have all called for us to unite behind Donald Trump,” Power said in a statement.

“It is time for Republicans to come together and put 100% of our focus on defeating Joe Biden and his failed administration in November,” he added.

Power said the Florida GOP will vote on a resolution to endorse Trump at the party’s annual meeting on Feb. 10.

The move to vote on a resolution to endorse Trump is one of Power’s first actions as chairman since taking over from ousted Christian Ziegler, who was removed following a police investigation for alleged sexual misconduct. The investigation by the Sarasota Police Department cleared him of sexual battery allegations, but authorities will seek to charge him with video voyeurism.

The Florida Republican Party also announced that Duval County GOP Chairman Dean Black will be making the motion for the party to endorse Trump at the meeting.

“This primary is over and the Florida GOP is united behind President Trump! Floridians can’t afford four more years of Crooked Joe Biden’s doddering weakness and ineptitude. We must stop America’s decline. We need a strong President again who has always put America First. That man is President Donald J. Trump!” Black said in a statement.

Florida’s Republican presidential primary is scheduled for March 19, with 125 delegates up for grabs in a winner-take-all contest.

Trump, who lives in the Sunshine State, has received the endorsement of Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL), along with several other GOP politicians in the state. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who ran against Trump in the GOP presidential primary, endorsed Trump after DeSantis dropped out of the race on Sunday.
