“I wish I could say I was surprised by all of the resistance around RFK,” Gaffney said Wednesday on Jesse Watters Primetime. “I think we need to start taking the steps, listening to people like RFK, who are leading by example, you know, avoiding the seed oils, going to the gym.”
Kennedy has been accused of spreading misinformation about vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic before his appointment. His skepticism of vaccines also led to Meta removing him from Instagram for months. He also had several segments of him discussing vaccines cut from interviews with traditional news outlets.
Additionally, Kennedy has railed against fast-food, McDonald’s in particular, for frying its foods in seed oils. While he has said he’s not against fast food, he expressed his wish that the establishments would return to frying their foods in animal fats. McDonald’s began using all vegetable oils in 1990. Up until then, it had used beef tallow for the first 60 years of its operation.
While Kennedy was still running for president, he shared a few videos of himself exercising with his shirt off and has since attracted attention for his fitness at the age of 70.

“Not surprised by the pushback of RFK, of course, because he is now under the Trump administration —people do have Trump derangement syndrome — but unfortunately, we live in a place where us being fat, sick, and infertile, and stupid brings in the dollars. There’s no business in us being healthy. And unfortunately, we do live in a health state that we are reactive, not proactive,” Gaffney said.
Trump has shown no signs of changing his mind on the HHS position, as Kennedy has traveled with him to a UFC fight and was present when Trump rang the bell for the New York Stock Exchange.
