President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that he believes he “got every answer right” on a cognitive test he took Friday.

Trump underwent a four-hour physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center conducted by his personal doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella. He told reporters that they should expect the results to be “good.”

“I took a cognitive test that I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right,” Trump said.

In a jab at his predecessor, Trump suggested he took the cognitive test to “be different” from former President Joe Biden. Biden’s mental capabilities were drawn into question following a disastrous performance against Trump in the 2024 election cycle. He received calls from media outlets and members of his own party to withdraw from the presidential race, which he did on July 21, 2024.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared on Friday that upon the release of the physical results, the president’s physician would read out the results.

“He is undergoing a few tests and imaging,” Leavitt said. “Again, it’s a long, yearly physical, so there’s quite a lot that goes into it to make sure the president is accomplishing all of his goals. And we will provide a readout of that as soon as we can.”

Trump told the press that he has taken the cognitive test four times before and that his latest results should be ready by Sunday.
