Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) decried Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as the biggest threat to the Republican Party’s electoral chances.
Speaking to CNN, Tillis issued one of the strongest condemnations of the conservative firebrand delved out from a congressional Republican.
“I think she’s uninformed. She is a total waste of time,” he said. “She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down.”
“She, not the Democrats, are the biggest threat to us getting back to a majority,” Tillis added.
Greene has faced renewed criticism over her controversial push to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) due to his pushing of a foreign aid bill to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
Last week, former Colorado GOP Rep. Ken Buck, who recently left Congress and publicly feuded with Greene, began deriding her as “Moscow Marjorie” over her criticism of aid to Ukraine.

“Well, Moscow Marjorie has as reached a new low,” Buck said. “She is just mouthing the Russian propaganda and really hurting American foreign policy in the process. She’s acting completely irresponsibly. And again, when history looks at this period of time, Russia invaded Ukraine, Ukraine is fighting for its freedom, and we should be with the freedom fighters in this war.”
Greene was joined by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ) in her call to vacate the speakership, but the trio is split on how to proceed.
