An illegal immigrant from Venezuela has been accused of being responsible for a head-on collision that killed a 12-year-old Missouri boy.
In December, Endrina Bracho, 33, allegedly sped through a 40 mph lane at 70 mph in the wrong lane, causing her to collide head-on with a vehicle containing Travis Wolfe, 12. Wolfe was taken off life support last week while his parents were hospitalized with significant injuries.
“1,700 feet is quite a big distance to travel at over 70 miles an hour on a 40-mile posted road. That’s a long way to travel in the wrong direction and not realize it,” Sgt. Scott Schnurbusch of the Hazelwood Police Department told Fox 2.
Bracho’s own two children were in her car when the crash occurred and are now being cared for by her father, the Daily Mail reported.
She was arrested the same day as the crash and is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in the first degree, two counts of assault in the second degree, two counts of endangering a child in the first degree, and one count of operating a vehicle without a valid license.

The case gained the attention of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), who blamed Wolfe’s death on the United States’s immigration policies.
“Travis Wolfe, a 12-year old Missouri boy killed by an illegal migrant. This is what an open border does. Say his name,” he wrote in a post on X.
