Since being elected the 47th president, the public has warmed up to President-elect Donald Trump‘s promise to shut the border and launch the biggest deportation campaign in U.S. history.

What’s more, a new survey shows that a huge 72% believe that he will make good on his promise to conduct that campaign.

The majority of every demographic showed expectations that Trump will do as promised, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey.

And for most, that’s a good thing. Rasmussen also found that 64% of voters approve of Trump’s plan to deport illegal immigrants with criminal records.

Plus, on the border front, 76% said that it is good to stop illegal immigration.

The survey comes a week after another showed that the public’s post-election focus has turned from the economy to immigration, possibly because Trump’s first senior-level staff picks were immigration hawks.
