Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a missile attack Wednesday morning that targeted Mossad headquarters, the national intelligence agency of Israel, in Tel Aviv

The Lebanese paramilitary organization touted its use of a “Qader 1” ballistic missile with a post on the social media and messaging platform Telegram. The group’s attack was in retaliation for Israel’s operation last week that involved exploding pagers and wireless devices that killed 30 and wounded thousands, according to reports

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance launched a ‘Qader 1’ ballistic missile on Wednesday morning, 9/25/2024, at 6:30, targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, which is the headquarters responsible for assassinating leaders and blowing up pagers and wireless devices,” read the message.

No casualties were reported from Hezbollah’s strike. Israeli officials said the missile was launched in Lebanon, but the attack was thwarted before any damage could be done.

“Following the sirens that sounded in the Tel Aviv and Netanya areas, one surface-to-surface missile was identified crossing from Lebanon and was intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array,” said a spokesperson for Israel Defense Forces.
