President Joe Biden is expanding his effort to hang the Jan. 6 Capitol riots around former President Donald Trump’s neck.

Just days after he released an ad narrated by Trump critic and actor Robert De Niro titled “Snapped,” his campaign announced plans on Tuesday to field three of the U.S. Capitol Police officers who faced off with the protesters at Biden campaign rallies.

“Ahead of the June 27 presidential debate, police officers who were attacked and injured on Jan. 6, 2021, will campaign for President Biden in key battleground states including Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and New Hampshire. The officers, including Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, Officer Harry Dunn, and Officer Daniel ‘Danny’ Hodges, will underscore how Donald Trump snapped after losing the 2020 election,” the Biden campaign said.

It is part of the president’s effort to portray Trump as erratic and a “threat” to democracy.

It comes as more believe that Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than Trump, who has claimed that the Democrat is weaponizing the government to undermine his campaign.

“The officers will meet with local elected officials, law enforcement organizations, and community members to raise the alarm about the threat Donald Trump poses to our democracy, as well as the ongoing threat of political violence under a second Trump term,” Biden said.

Gonell quit the force, citing the mental pressure following the riots.

Hodges was photographed between a riot shield used by the crowd and a Capitol door.

Dunn is running for a House seat in Maryland. He said in the Biden release, “Donald Trump and his unhinged quest for power and retribution pose an existential threat to our democracy.”

The release quoted out-of-context Trump statements about the election and his plans.
