President Joe Biden released a second campaign ad featuring the woman who was denied an abortion in Texas, only this time with a focus on in vitro fertilization.

Amanda Zurawski was at the head of the case Zurawski v. State of Texas, where she was one of 20 women claiming she was denied an abortion despite pregnancy complications. Their claim was ultimately denied two weeks ago. Zurawski explains in the video, posted to YouTube on Thursday, that she nearly lost her life while pregnant due to her state’s strict ban on abortion. While she left the state to have an abortion, she said she is still trying to get pregnant.

“My fertility was permanently compromised, so my husband and I have been trying to grow our family through IVF. But, thanks to Donald Trump, IVF is now at risk,” Zurawski said. “So after all we’ve been through, my husband and I are now moving our embryos out of Texas. It just never stops. Let’s be clear: Donald Trump did this.”

These references to Trump implied he is at fault because he appointed three of the Supreme Court justices who ultimately overturned the federal protection around the procedure with their Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision.

However, Trump came out in support of IVF earlier this year, saying he would “always” support it.

In her first campaign ad for Biden, Zurawski went into detail about her miscarriage, revealing that the couple had already named their baby Willow. She flips through a baby book and sheds tears in the minute-long ad.

Trump has long left abortion laws up to each respective state, only occasionally speaking out against some he deems too extreme, like when the Arizona Supreme Court ruled abortion illegal even in the case of rape and incest. While since-failed presidential candidates teased federal abortion bans, Trump has not campaigned on a similar promise.
