President Joe Biden‘s campaign has reportedly circulated a memorandum to staff looking to get ahead of a bruising poll expected to be released on Wednesday after the president’s disastrous debate performance last week.
The memo included polling that showed Biden had been only slightly harmed by the debate, according to Politico.
However, it also showed the campaign expects a new poll from the New York Times and Siena College to be released, which the memo said “is likely to show a slightly larger swing in the race.” The memo reportedly also said that “we should all keep in mind that, just last week, the NYT themselves acknowledged that they are often a polling outlier.”

Since the debate last Thursday in Atlanta, Biden has faced increased calls to drop out of the race, and leaked internal Democratic polling obtained by Puck News on Tuesday showed a significant hit to Biden’s numbers post-debate.
