President Joe Biden warned that the president for the next four years might appoint two Supreme Court justices.

At a Saturday night fundraiser in Los Angeles, attended by several major Hollywood celebrities and former President Barack Obama, Biden laid out the case for why the November election was so important.

“The next president is likely to have two new Supreme Court nominees. Two more,” Biden said before referring to Trump. “He’s already appointed two that have been very negative in terms of rights of individuals.”

He took direct aim at Justice Samuel Alito, who has been mired in controversy over two flags flown at his residencies.

“The idea that if [Trump] is reelected, he can appoint two more, flying flags upside down,” Biden said, adding that the prospect of more Trump-appointed justices was “one of the scariest parts of the administration.”

The president made the remarks while appearing alongside Obama and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who was moderating the discussion.

So far, Biden has appointed just one Supreme Court justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson, compared to Trump’s three: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. If Trump were to win in November, and Biden’s prediction was to come true, Trump would be able to appoint over half the Supreme Court during his two terms.

Last month, at a campaign event in Philadelphia, Biden pledged to appoint “progressive judges” to fill vacancies on the Supreme Court.

The Saturday star-studded fundraising event, featuring such Hollywood figures as Julia Roberts and George Clooney, reportedly raised a whopping $28 million.
