Former President Donald Trump seemingly agreed to multiple debates with President Joe Biden during a town hall event with Fox News‘s Laura Ingraham Tuesday evening.
“I’ll do it right now on your show. I’ll challenge him right now,” Trump said during the Ingraham Angle show. “We can do you. You can do anybody you want. I’ll take anybody from CNN, which is doing very poorly in the ratings by the way, you probably know. I’ll take anybody, because I think you have an obligation in this case, you really have an obligation to debate.

Trump, who has shunned any debates with his GOP 2024 primary challengers, is preparing to face off against former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley during South Carolina‘s GOP primary on Saturday.
He is on track to defeat Haley on his path to becoming the presumptive GOP nominee who will face off against Biden in November.
“When you have the final Republican, the final Democrat, you have the two people you have to debate regardless,” Trump continued.
“How many debates would you commit to?” Ingraham challenged Trump.
“As many as necessary,” Trump quipped back. “I would like to do it starting now. I don’t think he’s going to debate though. I really don’t think so.”
Biden has resisted committing to debates with the eventual GOP nominee when asked in the past. Earlier this month Biden was asked about debating Trump after the former president said he would debate him.

“If I were him I’d want to debate me too. He’s got nothing else to do,” Biden joked.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Biden campaign for comment.
Three presidential debates are scheduled for the 2024 cycle but it is not clear the debates will proceed if Biden or Trump refuse to participate.
