Former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway has argued that former President Donald Trump is “the unifier” that President Joe Biden campaigned to be as the Republican candidate garners support from various demographics.

Conway argued that the upcoming election is currently “Trump’s to lose,” and she encouraged the former president to suggest voters partake in early voting.

“That’s the irony, here,” Conway said on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “The other thing that’s going on is Trump is the unifier that Biden said he would be. He’s unifying the party, he’s got people that said they would never support him and vote for him standing next to him.”

She also argued that Trump is campaigning effectively by “showing up into a community that you’re going to win 15%, 20, 25% only … you’re showing America that every vote counts, you want to be the president of all Americans.”

Conway said Biden is doing the opposite of Trump’s strategy of meeting with regular citizens, instead meeting up with celebrities, referencing the recent fundraiser Biden did with celebrities such as George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Biden has, however, met with citizens of various states on the campaign trail, including Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan.

The first presidential debate is scheduled to take place on June 27, with Conway predicting Trump will do “very well.” In regard to what advice she would give to Trump ahead of the debate, she suggested he “let Joe Biden speak” and “let him stumble” for the whole 90-minute debate.

Conway’s statement on Trump meeting up with regular workers over celebrities mirrors a statement that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made earlier on Sunday, with Cruz arguing that the Democratic Party has “abandoned” blue collar workers.

Conway advised Trump last month to embrace early voting, saying the Republican Party needs to either adapt to changing voting habits or “die politically.” Like Trump, she had previously been a critic of early voting.

The Washington Examiner reached out to the Biden campaign for comment.
