As the Israel-Hamas war drags on in Gaza, protests have swept through college campuses across the United States this week, with activists accusing President Joe Biden of being complicit in genocide against Palestinians. The president is set to deliver remarks Saturday night to thousands of journalists and celebrities, who also became the target of the protesters’ ire.

Other chants directed at journalists included “Quit your job” and “Every time the media lies, a neighborhood in Gaza dies.” One group of protesters yelled, “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” as Biden’s motorcade went by.

The protests in Washington come the same day of news that Hamas, which perpetrated the deadly attack on Israel that prompted the war, is reviewing the terms of a ceasefire agreement with Israel.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is being hosted by Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Jost. Biden is scheduled to address attendees at 10 p.m.
