Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was not just a major part of Joe Biden’s State of the Union address when she confronted the president, but she also made sure to share her rebuttal afterward.
Central to her point while speaking with Right Side Broadcasting Network was that Biden’s address was “political” when it shouldn’t be.
“It’s not supposed to be a campaign speech, but tonight’s speech for Joe Biden was a campaign speech because he’s in big trouble,” Greene said, alluding to November’s election and pointing to the border as the main reason she believes so.
As Biden walked into the House chamber Thursday night, MTG positioned herself on the edge of the aisle and shouted toward the president. Biden turned back to her, and the duo exchanged words. Greene was wearing a Donald Trump MAGA hat and a T-shirt with the name of Laken Riley on it, the woman who is believed to have been killed by an illegal immigrant in Georgia.
Greene said Democrats started yelling at her when she put on her Make America Great Again hat, and there were so many of them that their words were difficult to hear. Still, she was defiant, saying she yelled back, “I’ll pay the fine,” and telling Right Side Broadcasting Network, “I paid over $100,000 in fines last Congress because Nancy Pelosi fined me every single time I walked down the House floor because I refused to wear a mask.”

The Georgia congresswoman remained focused on the southern border in her post-address interview, reiterating her claim that Biden needs to be “held accountable” for the influx of immigrants coming into the country and saying he knows the border is a problem for him.
She also slammed Biden for “straddling both sides of the fence” regarding Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. She accused him of trying to placate progressive Democrats who want him to ensure aid and safety for Palestinians while also supporting Israel and the legislators backing the major U.S. ally.
