President Joe Biden mentioned Syracuse University and the University of Delaware as possible locations to house his presidential library.

The president discussed the subject with special counsel Robert Hur last October during a five-hour interview, the transcript of which was made public Tuesday. Biden attended both schools in the 1960s, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 1965 and getting his juris doctor from Syracuse in 1968.

“My recollection is there’s people competing,” Biden said in the transcript. “Syracuse University would like it. University of Delaware would like it. They want to do it down here in Washington.”

In the interview with Hur, Biden said first lady Jill Biden had suggested he start thinking about where he would like his presidential library to be shortly after the president had visited the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri.
