Former President Donald Trump took to social media early Wednesday morning and criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign. Trump’s comments came as the vice president has kicked up inflammatory rhetoric against him in the last week, claiming that he was a fascist and then calling him a “petty tyrant” during a rally in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night.

“Nearly 250 years ago, America was born when we wrested freedom from a petty tyrant,” Harris said at the rally at the Ellipse in the nation’s capital. “Across the generations, Americans have preserved that freedom, expanded it, and in so doing, proved to the world that a government of, by, and for the people is strong and can endure.”

“They did not struggle, sacrifice, and lay down their lives, only to see us cede our fundamental freedoms, only to see us submit to the will of another petty tyrant,” the vice president added.

It was the latest accusation in which Harris implied without evidence that Trump would extinguish the country’s freedoms. Trump posted on social media early Wednesday morning criticizing the inflammatory rhetoric of the vice president.

“While I am running a campaign of positive solutions to save America, Kamala Harris is running a campaign of hate,” Trump posted. “She has spent all week comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history.”

The former president then referenced the comment President Joe Biden made earlier in the day, in which he called Trump supporters “garbage” while answering a question about a comedian’s offensive joke during Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

“Donald Trump has no character,” Biden said on Tuesday. “He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community. Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage.”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.”

“Now, on top of everything, Joe Biden calls our supporters’ garbage,’ Trump said. “You can’t lead America if you don’t love the American People. Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have shown they are both unfit to be President of the United States.”

Trump then expanded on the diverse appeal of his campaign and supporters. He touted his support among people of all races and proclaimed he would be a president for everyone.

“I am proud to lead the biggest, broadest, and most important political coalition in American history,” the Republican presidential nominee said. “We are welcoming historic numbers of Latinos, African Americans, Asian Americans, and citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed.”

“It is my desire to be the President of all the people,” concluded.
