Former President Donald Trump reacted to special counsel Robert Hur’s report on Saturday morning, saying the lack of charges against President Joe Biden for classified documents violations is a political attack against him.
“THIS IS AN ATTACK ON SLEEPY JOE’S POLITICAL OPPONENT, ME,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Saturday. “ IT IS LARGE SCALE ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”
Hur’s report, released Thursday, found that pressing charges against the president for possessing classified documents at his think tank in the University of Pennsylvania and his private residence would be fruitless because of Biden’s “diminished faculties” and cognitive decline.
The report called the president an “elderly man with a poor memory,” heightening concerns that Biden, as the oldest ever sitting president at 81 years old, is not mentally fit for the White House.
Trump’s take on Hur’s report, however, highlights the juxtaposition that Biden will not be charged for records violations while Trump himself faces 32 counts of unlawful retention of national defense records in Florida.
“SO THEN WHY ARE THEY CHARGING ME, I DID NOTHING WRONG???” Trump asked.
Trump is also facing eight additional charges in relation to his possession of classified documents at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, including conspiracy to obstruct an investigation and making false statements.

Upon the release of the report, Trump called on special counsel Jack Smith to drop the charges relating to his mishandling of classified documents, again reiterating that he did nothing wrong.
“PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT! A TWO TIER SYSTEM OF JUSTICE,” Trump said on Saturday.
