President Joe Biden is delivering remarks on the Middle East as he faces renewed pressure from both pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups over the war in Gaza. The remarks are set to begin at 12:30 p.m.

The war has escalated this month after Israeli forces moved into Rafah, a move the Biden administration strongly opposed. A recent fire that killed dozens of civilians, which Hamas alleges was caused by an Israeli airstrike, has resulted in renewed international outcry against Israel.

Biden has also faced calls from pro-Israel Democrats to sanction the International Criminal Court over its issuing of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
