Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold the first White House press briefing since President Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the race.

It’s been nine days since Jean-Pierre held the last press briefing, on July 15, with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. She appeared on the daytime talk show the View on Tuesday.

Later Wednesday, Biden will make his first public speech since announcing he is dropping out of the race. He was seen in public for the first time in six days on Tuesday.
