Jean-Pierre will likely comment on House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) bid to keep his gavel, as the lower chamber convened Friday to vote on whether he would retain the top role.

She will also likely address eleventh-hour actions President Joe Biden took to block the purchase of U.S. Steel by Japan’s Nippon Steel on Friday morning and his reportedly looming ban on new oil and gas drilling in some federal waters.
