Vice President Kamala Harris recorded an appearance on a popular podcast with women set to air next week.

Harris will appear on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the most popular podcast among female listeners on Spotify in 2023, hosted by Alex Cooper in an episode taped on Tuesday, according to Axios. The vice president is set to discuss issues important to female voters, including abortion, on the episode.

The appearance continues the Harris campaign’s push to amass women voters, focusing on abortion as one of the top issues in the race for the White House.

In 2020, President Joe Biden won the female vote over former President Donald Trump 55%-44%, according to Pew Research, while a recent poll from the Hill and Emerson College shows Harris leading Trump with women 56.1%-42.9%.

Harris, who would become the first female president, has focused much of her campaign on championing several issues important to female voters but has not emphasized the history her election would create, a contrast to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential bid. The campaign has touted support from such influential women as Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift.

The appearance by Harris on the popular podcast also comes after former President Donald Trump has made appearances on various podcasts in a bid to appeal to younger male voters. Trump has appeared on podcasts hosted by Lex Friedman and Theo Von, among other attempts to reach young male audiences. Harris appeared on All The Smoke, hosted by former basketball players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, earlier this week.

While Harris has bolstered her lead with female voters, Trump has eyed increasing margins with male voters while also making appeals to female voters.

In 2020, Trump won male voters over Biden 50%-48%, while the Hill-Emerson College poll from earlier this week shows Trump leading Harris with men 55.1%-43.7%.

The Harris campaign has attempted to use Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), her running mate, and second gentleman Doug Emhoff, Harris’s husband, to appeal to male voters. White Dudes for Harris was also formed by supporters of Harris’s campaign to reach out to that demographic.
