ABC’s The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg told former Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney that she would make a “great” attorney general if Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidential election.

“And so, I have a question. Are you also a lawyer?” Goldberg asked Cheney during The View’s interview on Monday.

“I am,” Cheney responded.

Goldberg then made the suggestion that Cheney be part of a Harris-Walz administration, noting the Wyoming Republican’s “moral core.”

“So, you could conceivably be a great AG,” she said to Cheney, adding, “I say this because your moral core is magnificent.”

Goldberg, who is also known for her role in the Sister Act film, continued, “I know you probably don’t want to think about it, but I just feel like I would feel a lot better with you leading the FBI, the CIA, the NBC … just everybody. That’s just me. So I just saying, should it be floated, please think about it.”

“We have to get Vice President Kamala Harris elected first,” Cheney replied.

Goldberg said, “I’m putting it into the universe because that is how we do things.”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald made a correction on X about Goldberg’s statement on the role of the attorney general.

“‘The View’ panelists and their screeching swooning-for-Liz audience don’t seem to know that being Kamala’s Attorney General wouldn’t place Liz in charge of the CIA, but that’s a minor detail,” he said.

Cheney has been a vocal Republican surrogate for the Harris-Walz campaign and previously led impeachment efforts against former President Donald Trump while she was in Congress.
