Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy said in a rant on social media that he would vote for former President Donald Trump amid “gaslighting” from Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump and Harris are three weeks away from the election and racking up celebrity endorsements with each passing day. Harris, in particular, has reversed her media strategy to mirror that of Trump’s and appeared on a number of programs across radio, television, and social media to discuss her campaign.
Portnoy posted a video Sunday on X that included a compilation of Harris speaking on television. He pointed out that her campaign slogan, “It’s time to turn the page,” seems to clash with her position as sitting vice president for the last three years. He cited issues with the border, crime, inflation, Afghanistan, Russia, and Hamas, among other gripes.
“What are we talking about? This is the candidate that people say is such a great leader? Stop gaslighting us,” Portnoy said. “I am so sick of being gaslighted like she’s some great candidate. There was a reason when she ran for president last time she didn’t get one vote.”
The media magnate took issue with how the Democratic Party “installed” Harris, as he sees Trump as a candidate who won his party’s nomination three times “fair and square,” while “Kamala has never had a vote cast for her.” According to Portnoy, Harris was incapable of winning the party’s nomination.

“She is the worst presidential candidate in the history of American politics honestly. Now if you still want to vote for her because you hate Trump that much and you can’t stand him, you think he’s done all this evil s***, do it. But stop the gaslighting please,” Portnoy said. “If you have any issues with the last four years, that’s her.”
Portnoy’s video has over 100,000 likes and over 4.2 million views as of Monday morning.
