At least three people are dead and four are injured following yet another shooting attack in California, this time in the upscale neighborhood of Beverly Crest in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the shooting occurred early Saturday morning around 2:30 am, just north of Beverly Hills, reported Fox News. According to the police, there is “no information” on the suspect.
Police Sgt. Bruce Borihanh said during a press conference that officers arrived at a residence after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting, where they pronounced three people dead and facilitated in transporting two wounded victims to the hospital. It was reported that two other gunshot victims took themselves to the hospital before police got there.
Two injured victims are in critical condition, and two are in stable condition, Fox reported. According to CNN, “three victims were shot inside a car and other four while standing outside a home.”
A reporter asked if there was a gathering or party at the residence, which police have confirmed to be a rental property. Sgt. Borihanh responded, saying that it’s an “ongoing investigation” and that law enforcement are still interviewing people to determine what type of gathering was at the residence.
When asked about a potential suspect, he said there is currently “no information” and that the investigation will aim to answer that question.
The identities of the victims have not yet been not released.
The latest shooting comes just a week after a shooter murdered 11 people and wounded nine more at a dance studio in Monterey Park, also in the Los Angeles area. On Monday, another gunman killed seven people and wounded one more on farms in Half Moon Bay, just south of San Francisco, in what was reported to be a workplace dispute.
Mere hours later, five people were shot in Oakland. One man 18-year-old man was killed, according to CNN.
