I’m sure that if many people were being honest with themselves, they’d rather find themselves at the business end of a loaded gun than be subjected to a line of questions by Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan.

Sure enough, that’s exactly where former anti-abortion activist and current Supreme Court whistleblower Rev. Robert L. Schenck found himself during Thursday’s House Justiciary Committee Hearing. Schenck was supposed to be the Democrats’ star witness, but by the time Jordan was done with him, he was a smoking pile of ash.

Schenck was supposed to testify over his allegations that Justice Alito leaked court opinions in regard to the 2014 Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. case. The reverend claimed he’d gotten information about the majority opinion on the case after Alito had dinner with mutual friends of Schenck’s. Alito denied this leak, yet the New York Times reported on a letter Schenck had sent to Chief Justice Roberts earlier this year making the claim that he had.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, Mark Paoletta of the law firm Schaffer Jaffe, and the only witness Republicans are bringing forward for the hearing, are calling the allegations baseless.

“They’re connecting these two allegations, in my view baseless allegations, to connect Alito to the Dobbs leak,” said Paoletta. “It’s completely false, but that’s what they’re trying to do.”

Schenck has already deemed as “not entirely credible” back in 1996 thanks to the Schenck v. Pro-Choice Network of Western New York case where Schenck’s brother Paul was a central figure of a lawsuit where he attempted to “provoke” an escort outside an abortion clinic.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, the Schenck brothers couldn’t recall details about the incident, including a moment where they had apparently switched clothes in order to keep Robert’s identity confusing to pro-abortion advocates. This led the court to see them as “not credible.”

As Schenck sat in front of the committee, Jordan brought down the thunder and discredited him even further. After raking him over the coals for his previous inability to be credible in any regard, Jordan now wheeled Schenck out for an all-out lie.

In a book Schenck wrote titled “Costly Grace,” Schenck made a huge deal out of being recognized as “Reverend” within the Supreme Court, making him the first person in history to be recognized by that title. However, in front of Jordan’s whithering questions, that claim quickly collapsed.

Watch as Jordan brutally obliterates Schenck’s false claims with transcripts and audio, and further proves that he’s not credible in any way.

Schenck and the Democrats had the goal of discrediting the Supreme Court, yet as Jordan just proved, the Democrats’ star witness is anything but credible.
