Pretty much everything the Democrats do between now and the 2026 midterm elections is aimed at taking back control of the House and Senate.
And they realize the biggest determining factor of that will be how the economy is doing. All indications are that the Big Beautiful Bill, with its pro-growth tax reforms, along with other policies implemented by President Donald Trump, are having the desired effect.
The Gross Domestic Product grew at 3.8 percent in the second quarter, significantly stronger than previously reported, and consumer spending was up 2.5 percent, up sharply from the 1.6 percent estimate, according to CNN.
