President Joe Biden has been sporting new “lifestyle sneakers” by the shoe company Hoka, which markets its shoes for stability support.
The 81-year-old president has been notoriously seen falling and stumbling in recent months, including several incidents on the Air Force One stairs and a bad slip over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy commencement in June last year.
Media observers, including Inside Edition, noticed that Biden’s formal black shoes were traded with a black pair of Hoka Transport sneakers starting in February.
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) posted a satirical video on Monday referencing the president’s use of the new “mysterious” shoes.
“Bored and confused in the middle of an interview? Why not stride?” the narrator says in the parody video.
Politico reported in November that aides to the president wanted him to change his shoes to make it easier to walk and avoid falling.
“They should come with a “lifestyle crash-helmet,” a person said on social media.
Another person chimed in on social media, “The guy needs a walker and a chair lift.”

“Now they put Biden in ‘lifestyle sneakers’ because he stumbles in dress shoes. Our enemies laugh at us,” another social media user said.
Despite the numerous occurrences of the president wandering lost, confused, and stumbling, White House physician Kevin O’Connor insisted in February that Biden “continues to be fit for duty” and is overall healthy.
