Emmy-winning actress Drea de Matteo lamented that to “follow the money” in Hollywood is to know that the “far Left” is totally in control of it.

De Matteo recently appeared on Varney & Co. to share her thoughts on the politicization of the entertainment industry. She is known for her role as Adriana La Cerva in the HBO Series Sopranos.

“I think the far Left own Hollywood. I think we all know that. All we have to do is follow the money,” de Matteo said Thursday. “I do know that people are tired of it, and there are very few people that are willing to speak out. They probably will vote Republican, and that’s people who would never normally, but people are afraid. This doesn’t feel like a democracy anymore.”

This was de Matteo’s second television interview on the topic of politics this week. While she proclaims to be a libertarian, she admitted she had expected to remain largely “anonymous” politically, but felt the need to speak out.

“A lot of people have been so focused on these social issues these days. And the social issues are what’s tearing everybody apart,” de Matteo explained. “And I think we need to be focused on the global issue and what is really going on behind the facade. And I don’t think a lot of my friends recognize that yet.”

The actress expressed concern for President Joe Biden‘s health as he approaches the age of 82 amid his reelection campaign. According to de Matteo, the president reminded her of her own mother, who has dementia.

Biden, however, has not been diagnosed with any mental health issues.
