The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said on Monday that she felt “sexism” has been at play in the 2024 Republican primary when it comes to the lack of endorsements for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. She called out Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who bowed out of the primary on Sunday and immediately endorsed former President Donald Trump and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who left the race over a week ago.
“There’s some sexism that we haven’t talked about. Ron DeSantis actually intellectually knows Nikki Haley is more qualified and more fit to be the GOP nominee,” Griffin said.
She added, “He’s a Harvard grad. He’s a Yale undergrad. He served in the Navy. He knows that Donald Trump is not better than her. He threw in some jab at her … she’s like some warmed-over corporatism. I’m sorry, it’s giving sexism.”
The View host left out her former employer’s qualifications, which included being a billionaire real estate mogul, the 45th president of United States, and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Griffin then took aim at the former New Jersey governor, who did not endorse Haley.
“I also think I like Chris Christie. I respect him,” she said. “Him dropping out of the race, criticizing her in leaked audio, and then refusing to back her even though she’s the only person who could possibly beat Donald Trump, it feels like the boys can’t handle losing to women.”
In a television interview on NewsNation, Haley was asked on Friday if she wanted Christie’s endorsement, and she said “no.”
“I don’t need it,” the former United Nations ambassador said.
Christie was recently caught on a hot mic saying he believed Haley would “get smoked” by Trump.

Griffin lamented that the U.S. is “one of the only Western nations that’s never elected a female president.”
“Love her or hate her, she’s objectively qualified for the role,” Griffin concluded, throwing support behind Haley.
